Intermediate Class - Learning predictive modeling, machine learning with Python
Service Description
Certificate - This 8-week intermediate level course is designed for students who want to expand on foundational knowledge by introducing predictive modeling, feature engineering, and model evaluation. Taught by experienced machine learning experts and researchers from top universities, the course will cover essential steps in building predictive models, from exploratory data analysis (EDA) to feature selection, model development, and model validation. By the end of the course, students will complete a final project where they apply machine learning algorithms to solve real-world problems and create a predictive model - how to build a Logistic regression model and a Decision Tree. Prerequisites: We'll be programming in Python. Basic programming skills in any high-level programming language (like R, Java, C/C++, JavaScript, etc.) is fine. Python's syntax is a little different but you can pick it up quickly. Basic knowledge in stats (mean, median, mode, and basic probability) and Linear Algebra (equations). Any math beyond High School Stats and Algebra will be explained as we go.

Registration Process: Students must register for classes before the official start date. Full payment for the course is required at the time of registration to reserve a spot in the class. First-Class Drop Policy: Students may attend the first class and, if they decide to drop the course, they must notify the administration within 72 hours after the first class. If a student chooses to drop the course after attending the first class, they will receive a refund minus the cost of the first class session. Refund Calculation: The refund will be calculated based on the total course fee minus the pro-rated cost of the first class session. The first class is considered non-refundable once attended, and the remaining amount will be refunded to the original payment method within 7-10 business days. No Refunds After the Second Class: No refunds will be issued once the student has attended the second class.
