National High School AI Competition

This Generative AI and Machine Learning competition is designed for high school students and advanced middle school students to showcase their skills in artificial intelligence and data science. Participants will tackle real-world problems using AI and ML techniques, competing for top rankings and cash prizes.

National awards will be presented to the top-performing participants: the top 5% will receive a Gold certificate and a $300 cash award for each individual or team, the top 10% will receive a Silver certificate and a $100 cash award, and the top 30% will receive a Bronze certificate and program credit of $50. Additionally, the top 50% will be honored with national recognition in AI/ML, and all other participants will receive a certificate of participation. We will also recognize the top three performers from each state, awarding cash prizes and celebrating their achievements alongside the national award recipients. To encourage diversity, special prizes will be awarded to recognize and support girls participating in the competition, celebrating their contributions to AI and machine learning.

Participants can attend competition prep classes taught by expert instructors with degrees from CMU, GT, MIT, and Stanford. These instructors hold advanced degrees (Master’s or PhDs) and have over 10 years of experience in the data science and AI/ML fields.

The competition is open to all current high school students and advanced middle schoolers. Participants can compete individually or form teams of up to 3 members, including a team leader.

You can register online via the provided registration link. Teams must provide a team name, and individuals can register under their own name.

Participants will solve a series of AI and machine learning challenges. Solutions will be evaluated by a panel of data scientists and AI experts. The competition will include phases such as data analysis, model building, and presentation of results.

Python is an essential prerequisite. We recommend taking the “AI - Generative AI”, which covers Recurrent Neural Networks (RNNs), Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs), and Large Language Models (LLMs).

Winners will be announced after the final judging phase. Results will be published on the competition website, and participants will also receive email notifications.
